Doi Inthanon

It’s Christmas and we have some more non-traditional events planned. Our drivers arrived this morning and so we are free to roam Chiang Mai in style. We have one of those big spacious vans w/ the seats that fold out into bed’s, and a bumpin sound system, so I’m happy! We took the van to Doi Inthanon, which is a National Park a lil over an hour from our hotel. This park is up the mountain range, and we were traveling up over 2000 meters to tour the Temple of the King and Queen.

Check out some of the pictures there to see how breathtaking it was. We walked around the temples and probably had the most fun outside and in the gardens, where we joked around and took a bunch of goofy pictures, like our Star Trek one seen here! One of the drivers (Dtom) hung out with us as well. He speaks a little English, but conversation is still a struggle, but at least we can get basic concepts across!

On the ride back to our bus, we were in the same taxi as the cutest little kid, that was fixated on Abi. The parents thought it was pretty funny, as when they would block the kids view, he tried so hard to move and keep staring at Abi! Gotta love little kids!
